The car was powered by a 1.4 L four-cylinder engine, with a maximum speed of 105 mph and a 0-60 mph acceleration time of 12.9 seconds. It had a five-speed manual transmission.
Distinguishable from most cars due to its egg-shaped design and tall taillights, the Java was originally painted black and then later changed to a light green-silver metallic.
