The striking Chrysler Sebring has emerged from the 2003 Chrysler Airflite concept car. Peter Lambert, Managing Director for Chrysler Group UK, said: "The Sebring is the Group's first model in the mid-size family car segment. It offers a sophisticated design, high levels of safety and dependability, strong performance and impressive fuel economy, all for around 10 percent lower than rival models."
The front-wheel drive Sebring arrives in the UK in June at a base price of £17,995 and is sold exclusively in 'Limited' trim. There are two petrol and one diesel engine options. The 2.0-litre petrol boasting a five speed manual offers 154 bhp and 140 lb.-ft. of torque, with a competitive 36.2 mpg. The 2.4-litre petrol has an automatic gearbox, 167 bhp and 162 lb.-ft. of torque. The 2.0-litre turbo diesel provides fuel economy of 45.6 mpg with 138 bhp and 229 lb.-ft. of torque from only 1750 rpm, paired to a six-speed manual.
