Citroen C3 X-TR
The 2002 Citroën C3 was a 5-door hatchback that came in petrol and diesel versions. It was equipped with 1.1, 1.4 and 1.6 litre engines and a 5-speed manual transmission as standard. Some models also offered a SensoDrive - a 5-speed semi-automatic transmission with paddle-shifters, manual, and automatic modes - or a 4-speed fully automatic option. The C3's chassis was also used for the Peugeot 1007 and the Peugeot 207 SUV models.
In 1998, Citroën released the C3 Lumiere concept car, a 5-door hatchback with 4 seats and rear suicide doors. It featured a 5-speed manual transmission and a 1.1 L petrol engine.
In late 2005, the C3 received a redesign with a more prominent bumper, wider lower air intake, and restyled radiator grille. The interior was also enhanced with the fitting of a restyled dashboard with high-quality finish and an easier to read instrument cluster. The steering was also improved so that it became weightier with speed. Additionally, the range was now equipped with a 1.6 L 16-valve HDi diesel engine rated at 110 bhp (82 kW; 110 PS). The Pluriel also received similar interior alterations but was otherwise unchanged.
