The Citroen C5 has been subtly upgraded, maintaining its character while still being recognizable on the road. The headlamps have been equipped with LEDs as well as xenon dual-function directional lights and corner lights. The rear lights have been given a "Dark Crystal" effect with clear glass in the middle section.
What sets the C5 apart is its introduction of the micro-hybrid technology. This will be available in the HDi 110 DPFS version, featuring EGS6 electronic gearbox system, steering-wheel paddles, and low rolling resistance tyres. The technology consists of a second-generation Stop & Start system that is 70% more powerful than the before, reaching 2.2 kW with additional power electronics. Engine startup only takes 400ms and is virtually silent with its timing belt, and no vibrations are present.
