The "Eurovans" are nearly identical large MPVs made by Sevel, a joint venture of PSA and Fiat, at its Sevel Nord factory in France near Valenciennes. The first Eurovans were sold as the Citroën Evasion (Synergie), Fiat Ulysse, Lancia Zeta and Peugeot 806. Second generation A successor model for the Eurovans was released in 2002. Although the floorpan, wheelbase, and suspension setup were retained, all exterior dimensions and both front and rear tracks were increased, providing more interior space with a 30 cm increase in length. The new Eurovans featured a more rounded, contemporary exterior and interior styling with a centrally-mounted dashboard. Differences between the models were made more noticeable with distinct front fascias, rear sections, head and taillights, and interior colors. The Fiat and Lancia models are wider than the PSA vans, and the Lancia Phedra is longer than the rest. Names Apart from the Fiat Ulysse, all models were renamed. The 806 was replaced by the 807, while Citroën opted to incorporate this minivan into their naming theme based on the relative size of the model, referring to it as the C8. The Lancia was named after the Greek mythological figure Phaedra as the new Lancias had moved away from Greek letter names. Engines The engine range included different versions of the PSA EW/DW engines which were paired with either 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmissions. Top-of-the-line versions were equipped with the PSA ES V6. All diesel engines were PSA HDIs, though it was referred to as JTD by Fiat.
