Citroen Xsara Picasso

The Citroën Xsara Picasso was released in late 1999 as a response to the popular Renault Scénic compact MPV. This stylish vehicle quickly became the best-selling multi-purpose car in France, Great Britain, and the rest of Europe. In 2001, Citroën began producing the Xsara Picasso in Brazil for the Latin American market where it is the leader in its class. In 2003, the UK version was upgraded with a 2.0i 16v engine and 4-speed automatic transmission (before this upgrade, only manual transmission was available). In 2006, Citroën released the new seven-seater C4 Picasso but the Xsara Picasso will continue to be sold until the five-seater C4 Picasso is available.
