GM Daewoo Auto & Technology (GM Daewoo) has unveiled its new global mini-car, the GM Daewoo Matiz Creative. It will hit the market on September 1st, 2009.
Michael Grimaldi, President and CEO of GM Daewoo, expressed: “The GM Daewoo Matiz Creative is an all-new mini-car that was developed at GM Daewoo—the global vehicle development center for GM's mini and small cars. Built off of GM's worldwide mini-vehicle platform, it took 27 months and KRW 295 billion investment to finalize the GM Daewoo Matiz Creative. After launching in Korea, it will be available in over 150 countries worldwide, such as Europe, Asia, and North America.
In order to meet the highest caliber and performance requirements, the global vehicle underwent rigorous durability tests, extreme weather tests, and crash tests domestically and overseas totaling over 1 million miles.
Furnished with roof-rail curtain airbags and a majority of its body constructed with high-strength and ultra-high-strength steel, the GM Daewoo Matiz Creative guarantees superior occupant safety.
