Datsun on-DO
The Datsun on-DO is the brand's first model available in Russia. It is a four-door sedan providing spacious interior with five seats and a class-leading trunk capacity of 530L. The name of the vehicle reflects the multinational influences. "DO" in Japanese stands for "way" and implies a consistent and unique approach to doing things, while the "on" is taken from the Russian language and implies strength, reliability and masculinity. Additionally, both words have clear meanings in English, conveying positive dynamism.
The Datsun on-DO was designed at the Nissan Motor Corporation's advanced Global Design Center in Japan and its development and engineering were conducted in Russia by an international team. This mix of local and global inputs results in a car with modern looks and performance combined with perfect adaptation to Russia's driving and climatic conditions.
The powerful 1.6-litre petrol engine provides 87 hp. The Datsun on-DO is produced at the AVTOVAZ plant in Togliatti, Russia.
