Dodge is aiming to revolutionize the global D-segment with the totally new Dodge Avenger concept - a daring, styling expression that dispels the notion that a practical mid-size car is always dull. Avenger's iconic Dodge design creates an undeniable statement in the D-segment, drawing attention and displaying qualities that represent the Dodge brand: audacious, potent, able and streetwise.
Presented in an eye-catching Inferno Red hue, this Avenger concept is sure to allure car buyers around the globe who need the convenience, dependability and fuel efficiency of a mid-size sedan, with the addition of something exclusive; a vehicle with style that stands out and issues a declaration. Avenger's impressive Dodge styling, innovative features and outstanding performance would allow it to do just that. It does for the global D-segment what Caliber has done in the global C-segment - it provides a distinct alternative to the competition."
Gazing at the vehicle from the front, the forceful presence of Dodge's traditions in Avenger's chiseled and edgy body is indubitable. Extravagant, modern quad headlamps encased in black bear the hallmark Dodge crosshair grille, highlighted by body-color accents. Fog lights are situated within the corners of the front fascia, surrounding a diamond-textured mesh that spans the width of the fascia. A folding formation at the center of the hood carries the crosshair grille's vertical lines.
Avenger's side profile is set apart by a long hood, short deck lid dimensioned with powerful rear shoulders and sleeker rear spoiler. This concept's length greenhouse boasts a shimmering black B-pillar and aerodynamic inspired rear door decorations, giving the mid-size sedan a determined stance even when it's stationary. A deep character line marked on the sheet metal adds to Avenger's sharp silhouette.
Enhancing the wide stance, lowered ride height and ample side sills is the impressive nineteen-inch five-spoke painted Satin Silver wheels and all-season performance tires. Deep red brake calipers are also visible through the wheels. Body-color door handles and folding mirrors complete the car's sporty look, keeping the side profile smooth and neat.
From the rear, the substantial, vivid taillights positioned at the sides frame the deck lid. A perfectly crafted body-color spoiler is carefully incorporated into the deck lid. An integrated lower rear diffuser reduces drag and promotes fuel efficiency. Chrome-tipped double exhaust pipes handle signify the Avenger concept's 2.0-liter turbo diesel engine, that could be retailed in places aside from North America.
