Dodge Challenger Targa Concept
This year, the Dodge Challenger Targa made its debut in the intense Targa Newfoundland race. After starting out as a Mopar Challenger drag race package car, it has since been adapted to include Viper-inspired specifications such as the legendary snakeskin green paint. Mopar's own chin spoiler "Splats" was included to help with aerodynamics, and a Mopar hood equipped with a scoop to accommodate the 540-horsepower, 490 lb. ft. of torque, 392 HEMI® V-8 Mopar crate motor. This engine is coupled with a Tremec six-speed manual gearbox that provides power to the rear wheels. For exceptional stopping power, it is equipped with Stop-Tech brakes, boasting 6-piston calipers with 380-millimetre rotors in the front, and 4-pot calipers with 355-mm rotors in the rear. The suspension and brake upgrades were adapted from the tried-and-true Dodge Viper ACR, which recently broke the production-car lap record at the Nurburgring. And, all of these modifications are made possible with parts sourced from Mopar.
