This model is built for hot-pursuits with a performance suspension tuning, heavy-duty ABS brakes, front- and rear-stabilizer bars, 18-inch performance tires, and two-mode ESC calibration. Its rear-wheel drive design and newly designed front and rear multi-link suspension geometry make for a smooth ride over long days policing the streets.
With the help of the brand's Police Advisory Board, the Dodge Charger Pursuit is outfitted with a Police Interface Module for easy equipment integration, police-duty front seats, column-mounted automatic transmission with Auto Stick, and more. It offers impeccable safety and security features, such as standard advanced multistage driver and front-passenger air bags, seat-mounted side-thorax air bags, supplemental side-curtain air bags for front and rear outboard passengers, driver’s knee air bag, tire-pressure monitoring, and more.
The Dodge Charger Pursuit also contains an all-new standard E-85 compatible 3.6L Pentastar V-6 engine with VVT and the available 5.7L HEMI V-8 engine with fuel-saving MDS. The new Dodge Charger Pursuit is available for purchasing in September 2010 through Chrysler Group LLC's fleet operations.
