Dodge Charger Daytona RT

The Dodge Charger is a rear-wheel drive full-size car built by the DaimlerChrysler corporation for its North American Dodge brand. The current model, introduced in February 2005, is based on the LX platform of the Chrysler 300 and Dodge Magnum. It replaces the Dodge Intrepid as Dodge's full-size sedan, and is a four-door, disappointing some fans of the previous two-door model. It is produced at Brampton Assembly in Canada. The SE and SXT feature Chrysler's 3.5L V6 developing 250 hp (186 kW) and 250 ft·lbf (339 N·m) of torque, with a 2.7L also available for fleet sales. The R/T offers the 5.7L Hemi V8, putting out 340 hp (254 kW) and 390 ft·lbf (475 N·m) of torque, while the SRT-8 model has the 6.1L Hemi V8, delivering 425 hp (317 kW) at 420 ft·lbf (569 N·m). The 2006 Charger Daytona R/T, debuted at the Chicago Auto Show, is equipped with a High Output 350 hp (261 kW) 5.7L Hemi, and is offered in retro colors such as "Go ManGo!" metallic orange and Top Banana yellow. It also features an updated suspension and tires, a special front fascia with a chin spoiler, and black "Hemi" decals on the hood and rear fender. It is priced at US$32,495 and 8,000 were produced for one year only. The SRT-8, introduced at the 2005 New York International Auto Show, includes upgrades like Brembo brakes, interior and exterior updates. The 2007 Super Bee version of the Charger came with the same 425 hp (317 kW) 6.1 L Hemi engine as the SRT-8, as well as special "Detonator Yellow" paint and black decals. Jada Toys released a DUB version of the car in mid 2006.
