Dodge Dakota Quad Cab
The second-generation Dodge Dakota with the Quad Cab option was offered from 1997 to 2004. It inherited the bold design of the larger Ram with a semi truck look. It was one of the first to feature an available V8 engine, including the 'R/T' model with the big 5.9 litre 250 hp (186 kW) Magnum V8. The Quad-Cab model had a slightly shorter bed of 63.1 inches (160.2 cm) and rode on a Club Cab's 130.9 in (332.5 cm) wheelbase. In 1998 a limited-edition R/T package was available; it included a 250 hp 360 cid/5.9 litre V8, heavy duty 46RE four-speed automatic transmission, performance axle, limited-slip differential, sport suspension and steering, upgraded brakes, performance exhaust and more. Chrome wheels were possibly available in 2002 models, and some of the 2003 models featured the stampede lower body cladding package and chromed version of the original cast aluminum wheels. This version of the R/T Dakota was produced until 2003.
