Dodge Dart Mopar
Chrysler Group LLC has unveiled the Mopar '13 Dart, the fourth special-edition Mopar-branded vehicle since the company joined with Fiat S.p.A in 2009. It will be showcased at the 2013 Chicago Auto Show.
Dodge Dart Mopar is outfitted with Mopar performance parts and accessories and only 500 units will be produced at Chrysler's assembly plant in Belvidere, Ill. this spring.
Pietro Gorlier, President and CEO of Mopar, commented, “Our new Mopar '13 Dart will turn heads and stand out from the crowd". Taking inspiration from the tuner scene, the Mopar '13 Dart is powered by a 1.4-liter MultiAir® intercooled turbo engine with a manual transmission and painted with a gloss-black finish and two car-length Mopar Blue stripes. Its suspension is lowered by 7 millimeters and has been fitted with low-profile 40 aspect performance tires (225/40R18). It also comes with a premium brake kit with slotted rotors and a performance-tuned exhaust. To further improve its aerodynamics, the custom Dart features a Mopar ground-effects kit that includes a front-chin spoiler, one-piece deck-lid spoiler and a rear diffuser.
The exterior features a Mopar badge in the crosshair grille and gloss-black 18-inch wheels with a Mopar logo on the wheel center caps. Inside, the Mopar '13 Dart is adorned with a custom Mopar Blue leather seat with black accents, a floating island bezel with Mopar Blue paint and lighting, Mopar Blue accent thread as well as light-black chrome and gloss-black elements. It also includes a unique serialized plate, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with a Mopar Blue388 shifter knob, a bright sport-pedal kit, premium Mopar carpet floor mats, door-sill guards, an 8.4-inch navigation screen and industry-first wireless charging for smartphones. Moreover, it comes with a personalized owner kit which contains a personalized plate with specifications, the date of manufacture and the vehicle's unique identification number. It also comes with a limited-edition sketch of the vehicle signed by the Chrysler Group Chief Designer for the Mopar Brand.
