Dodge Ram Wagon 1998 posters

Dodge Ram Wagon

The Dodge Ram Wagon was a full-size van that was sold by DaimlerChrysler under the Dodge brand. Its design was based on an earlier commercial van. It was available in short, extended, and Maxi lengths with two different wheelbases (109 and 127 inches). The exterior updated in 1994 for the first major change since 1971, with only the headlight shape, grille, and taillamps altering somewhat. The dashboard was changed in 1978 and stayed virtually the same until the 1997 model year when it was upgraded to incorporate functional drink holders. There was also a Travel Seating option available up to the 1994 model year, which featured a dinette and bed option. In 1998, the engine was moved forward four inches to provide more room inside the van. The 1998 redesign also gave the vans an outward "pushed" appearance. Dodge changed the series names in 1995 to 1500, 2500, and 3500, which had previously been 150, 250, and 350. The rear armrests were removed at some point during 1995 or 1996, and the vent windows became non-functional in 1997. Ride and power notwithstanding, 2003 and 1973 model of the Sportsman Royal and Ram Wagon are not vastly different. The Ram Van and Ram Wagon replaced the names Tradesman and Sportsman that had been used for Dodge’s commercial and passenger vans respectively. The Dodge Ram Wagon was available in three different styles: 1500 (109" regular and 127" extended wheelbase), 2500 (109" regular and 127" extended wheelbase), and 3500 (127" extended wheelbase and long-body Maxiwagon). DaimlerChrysler discontinued production of these vans following the 2003 model year, replacing it with the Dodge Sprinter.
