Dodge Stratus Sedan 2001 posters

Dodge Stratus Sedan

The Dodge Stratus was a mid-size sedan that first appeared in 1996. It was a variant of the Chrysler JA platform and was offered in both two-and four-door versions. In 2001, it became the last Cloud Car as the Cirrus was renamed Sebring and the Breeze was discontinued. In the U.S., the coupe model of the Stratus was different from the sedan, being based on the Mitsubishi Eclipse. The coupe was dropped from the lineup in 2005 and the Stratus was discontinued in May 2006, with the Sebring name continuing. In Mexico, the Stratus R/T featured a turbocharged version of the 2.4L engine. In 2001, the power was increased to 215hp, and from March 2004 and later, output rose to 225hp and 235 ft·lbf (319 N·m) of torque. This improved engine was later used for the U.S. version of the Dodge SRT-4. Stratus R/T models were recognized by a "High Output" badge at the rear.
