Dodge ZEO Concept

The 2008 Dodge ZEO concept vehicle is an all-electric "2+2" sport wagon that exudes the bold and muscular characteristics of the Dodge brand. With its 23-inch wheels-to-the-corners, heroic proportions and muscular forms, the ZEO is designed to capture a new and youthful breed of muscle-car enthusiasts. These individuals are drawn to high-tech, stylish cars and seek a driving experience combining environmental and overall responsibility with a "need for speed". Bill Zheng, Dodge ZEO principal exterior designer, remarks: “The Dodge ZEO concept is designed to break the paradigm of what an electric car should look like. An electric car can be as expressive as any gasoline-powered vehicle. The Dodge ZEO concept proves that point - and then some.” The ZEO body is given an active, three-dimensional form, with the fenders boldly offset to the body. The advanced electric propulsion system of the Dodge ZEO concept is powered by a 64 kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery pack which grants it a range of at least 250 miles. Its 200 kilowatt (268 horsepower) single-electric motor enables a 0-60 mph time of less than six seconds, rivaling Chrysler's famed HEMI powerplant.
