Edo Koenigsegg CCR
Upgrades to the edo Koenigsegg CCR included changes to the vehicle's interior and exterior design, as well as its engine and transmission. The V8 engine was given twin superchargers, the drive ratio was modified and the ECU was remapped to take advantage of the increased power output, with the engine now putting out up to 891 horsepower. The six speed gearbox was also reworked, equipped with Uniball units, for an increase in full boost pressure from just 3,700 rpm and revving up to 6,000 rpm.
The wheels were given a stylish charcoal paint finish and the updated front of the car resembles later CCR models. Additionally, the cabin was adorned in Alcantara material for a more luxurious feel, and safety features such as a tire pressure and temperature monitoring system and a reversing camera were integrated into the dashboard.
The end result is an upgrade to this rare car which preserves its unique character, while providing significantly improved acceleration and drivability. Top speed, although reduced from 390 km/h (242 mph), is still phenonemonal due to the intense and violent acceleration.
