The Ferrari 360 Spider is Ferrari's 20th road going convertible and is indeed one of the most technologically advanced convertibles on the market today. By applying the exclusive know-how that Ferrari has developed as a Formula 1 constructor, the car was able to feature a mid-mounted 400bhp V8 engine while still maintaining an aerodynamically clean design. Despite the engine being situated in the middle of the body, Ferrari engineers found a way to equip the Spider with an automatic roof that neatly folded into a well between the cabin and the engine bay. This detailing is further accentuated by two fairings in the bodywork behind the seats, reminiscent of classic Ferrari models. The 360 Spider also has two roll hoops that provide maximum safety for the car's occupants.
When the top is up, the V8 engine is visible through the engine cover, giving the car an aggressive look.
