Ferrari 512 TR

The Ferrari 512 TR is a 12-cylinder mid-engine sports car manufactured by Ferrari, and was introduced at the Los Angeles Auto Show in 1992 as an upgraded version of the Ferrari Testarossa. The Pininfarina-designed car was produced from 1992 to 1996, along with the F512 M which debuted at the 1994 Paris Auto Show. Almost 10,000 Testarossas, 512 TRs, and F512 Ms were built, making it one of the most common Ferrari models, despite its expensive price tag and luxurious design. In 1995, racers could purchase the F512 M for $220,000. The 512 TR and F512 M featured a Rear mid-engine, rear-wheel drive layout, which provides a balanced weight distribution of 41% front: 59% rear in the 512 TR and 42% front: 58% rear in the F512 M. The five-speed manual transmission also offered improved stability and cornering ability over its predecessor. This Ferrari model was eventually replaced in 1996 with the front-engined 550 Maranello coupe, making the 512 TR and F512 M the company's last mid-engine 12-cylinder cars, aside from the F50 and Ferrari Enzo, which featured the company's last flat engine.
