The Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano has redefined the performance standard for sports cars since its debut. Now Ferrari brings out an enhanced version to underscore its sportiness and handling - the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano HGTE (Handling Gran Turismo Evoluzione) package. This set-up includes stiffer springs and rear anti-roll bar, modified calibration of the magnetorheological shock absorbers and a lowered ride height, thus lowering the car's centre of gravity. These modifications bring improved body control along with optimised tyres, with a compound offering even better grip.
The car's electronics have also been upgraded to ensure quicker response to driver commands. The F1 gearbox shifts faster and the engine software strategy has improved accelerator response. For an even more marked and exhilarating sound, the exhaust silencer has been modified without compromising comfort levels during cruising.
In terms of style, exterior and interior features feature carbon-fibre detailing. 20" split-rim wheels have a diamond-cut and matte silver finish. The rear diffuser is finished in matte black to emphasise the new set-up and the chromed tail pipes. For the cabin there's a combination of full-grain leather, black Alcantara® and carbon-fibre trim plus revised two-tone leather seats with black Alcantara® inserts. The headrests have a Prancing Horse and the words "Handling GTE" embroidered in contrasting stitching.
