Ferrari F12 TRS
Based on the
F12berlinetta, the one-off Ferrari F12 TRS was designed to be an extreme, two-seater, open-top sports barchetta. Borrowing from the iconic 1957 250 Testa Rossa, the F12 TRS features modern, innovative styling while paying homage to its predecessor in its moniker. It offers similarly impressive performance figures to the F12berlinetta, including 0-100 km/h acceleration in 3.1 s and 0-200 km/h acceleration in 8.1 s, thanks to its 6262 cm3 V12 engine capable of producing 740 cv and maximum torque of 690 Nm at 9,000 rpm.
The F12 TRS showcases Ferrari’s approach of producing a fully integrated design, from the aerodynamic elements of the exterior to the sleek yet technical interior. The car’s nose has been aggressively sculpted, with a low, wraparound windscreen providing a stark contrast to the rest of the body. Meanwhile, the red cylinder heads of the V12 engine can be seen in the engine lid, itself being heavily influenced by the Ferrari sports cars of the 1950s. The car’s tail features the classic T-shaped graphic found in other race Ferraris, along with fuselage fairings running behind the headrests.
The cockpit too has been lightened and simplified, with no concessions to superfluous comfort. Air conditioning and audio system controls have all been cut back, and black matt carbon-fibre, leather, and Alcantara adorn the interior. The signature red paint was developed specifically for the F12 TRS and uses multiple layers and micalised technologies.
