Fiat 1500 L

The Fiat 1300 and 1500 were large family cars manufactured and released by Italian automaker Fiat Auto from 1961 to 1967, which replaced the Fiat 1200. These models featured almost similar components, with only the engine displacement setting them apart. Saloons, estates and convertible versions were available for the series. It was also sold by Neckar Automobil AG, the German subsidiary of Fiat, and its floorpan was used for the Fiat 125 model. The 1300/1500 featured a front-mounted engine driving the rear axle via a 4-speed manual transmission. The engines were classified as two versions of the same design, which were differentiated with 72 x 79.5mm and 77 x 79.5mm bore values. The wheelbase started out as 242.5cm but later received an upgrade to 250.5cm. Fiat 1500 L / 1500 Taxi This model was built based on the specifications of the Fiat 1800, but featured the same 1500 engine. The Taxi version debuted in 1962, carrying a de-rated version of the engine with 60 horsepower. In 1964, Fiat equipped the regular 1500L with a 75 horsepower engine. Siata 1500TS The Siata Company, which specializes in tuning, accessories, and special cars, developed the 1500TS, which was visually different from the Fiat saloon due to its two-tone paint scheme. It peaks out at 94 horsepower, and a coupé version was made with a body custom designed by Giovanni Michelotti. Zastava 1300/1500 The 1300/1500 were also assembled by the Yugoslavian firm Crvena Zastava, which was known to cooperate with Fiat. These versions were declared as the Zastava 1300 and 1500, respectively.
