Fiat 500 Barbie Concept
Fiat 500 has once again made headline news, as it befits an iconic Made in Italy vehicle. This time, the Fiat 500 concept is dedicated to the world's most beloved fashion doll: Barbie®. Developed in collaboration between Fiat Centro Stile and Mattel, the car will be given to Barbie® on March 9, in celebration of her 50th birthday in Milan.
The fashionista car has a shock effect, with its deep lacquered pink shade gracing its ultra fine aluminium body. The vehicle's seating features silver laminated Alcantara® with a glimmer, as well as mats with natural silk yarn and sleek viscose. Moreover, it has LED-decked vanity mirrors and lip glosses in brilliant shades stored in the glove compartment. Externally, crystals outline Barbie's famed silhouette on the pillars and glimmer on the interior bezels, hubcaps, outer window mouldings, and antenna.
On Monday, March 9, the show car will be presented in Milan's fashion district. Barbie® will be aboard with her driver, Ken, and they will both be walking the unique pink carpet created just for her. Meanwhile, the band Nena will be performing some of the pop songs from the past 50 years.
The creator of the Fiat 500, Roberto Giolito, said: "Barbie® has a range of 'transport solutions' such as GTs and motor homes, so if she wants a 500 as a birthday gift, it is symbolic of the modern times, in which people look for simple things to appreciate without having to prove their status. With the 2009 model, Barbie® can have a better view of the sun and stars, and continue to dream away."
