Fiat Panda Actual 2003 posters

Fiat Panda Actual

The Fiat Panda is a compact car that was introduced in 2003. It has an elevated body, taking styling cues from mini MPVs and mini SUVs. The taillights have similarities to cars from Volvo. In fact, the Panda won the coveted 2004 European Car of the Year award. A particular feature of the Panda is the option for split rear seats, making the Panda a four-seater. Furthermore, all models of the Panda are fitted with stability control, ABS, EBD, and two front airbags as standard. The gear-lever has been located on the central dashboard, designed to make changing gears easier than with a traditional, floor-mounted gearshift. The new Panda was a financial success for Fiat, selling half a million units by October 2005, with over fifty percent of the cars sold in Italy. The 500,000th new Panda was produced on October 5, 2005, and was a light blue Panda Emotions with the 1.3L diesel engine. There are three editions of the Panda. The basic Actual is equipped with black bumpers, no electric windows, and no full-size spare wheel. The Active was launched in May 2005, and has body-coloured front bumpers, electric windows, and central door locking. Radio, cassette/CD player, ABS, passenger's side airbag, power steering, and manual climate control are available as options. The Active Plus edition is slightly better equipped than the Active, with a cassette/CD player as standard. However, production of the Active Plus stopped in December 2003.
