Fiat Portofino Concept 2008 posters

Fiat Portofino Concept

Fiat Professional is set to take the Caravan Salon, the leading recreational vehicle show, held in Dusseldorf from 29 August to 7 September 2008, by storm with their introduction of the original Fiat Portofino show van. The van was built based on the Fiat Fiorino, the smallest model in the range. The clever collaboration between Vernagallo-Holidays, a conversion company specialized in small RV's and SALT, a body builder specializing in tuning and fashioning exclusive cars, is a unique expression of freedom in mobility. This project takes its roots from the legendary beach buggees, small open-topped cars built onto some Fiat models by a few clever Italian bodybuilders in the 1960s. Back then luxury wasn't defined by unnecessary wealth, but rather by promoting a lifestyle. The Fiat Portofino show van therefore is not just a stylish showpiece, but also a practical and useful vehicle for holiday and leisure. By showcasing the new addition to the Fiat Professional range at the recreational motor shows, Fiat demonstrate their commitment not only to the market, but also to the idea of freedom, entertainment and unique lifestyle choices. The move away from corporate advertising to the concept of recreation is a testament to Fiat's dedication to the motor industry.
