Fiat Strada

The Fiat Strada is a supermini pickup truck based on the company's "world car" project Palio. It is produced in Brazil and exported from Betim, Minas Gerais to the EU, where it is sold as Strada Malibu. 1996 Mk.I Strada The original Strada was launched in 1996 in Brazil, appearing as the "cargo member" of the '178 Project', which was designed to replace the City, a pickup version of the Fiorino based on the Fiat Uno. The Strada offers a maximum loading capacity of 700kg and a cargo-space measuring 1770 mm x 1314 mm. 2001 Mk.II Strada In 2001 the model received its first facelift. The new design was created by Italian design-guru Giorgetto Giugiaro and included a redesigned front and interior as well an extended cab version. The following year, Fiat do Brasil also launched the first version of the Fiat Strada Adventure with offroad-style features. 2004 Mk.III Strada The Mk.III version of the Strada was launched in 2004. It featured a new front, interior design taken from the Palio (also designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro) and the second version of the Strada Adventure, with similar features to the Weekend Adventure. This model was offered in Europe with the 1.9 JTD Diesel engine.
