Fiat Topolino 500 C

The Fiat Topolino 500 C was a small car produced by the Italian carmaker Fiat from 1937 to 1955. The name Topolino, which translated from Italian to English means "little mouse", was given to the model. It had a tiny 569 cc four-cylinder side-valve water-cooled engine placed in front of the front axle, and a radiator located behind the engine. It had a top speed of 53 mph (85 km/h), and a fuel efficiency of 39.2 mpg (100 km/6 liters). The Topolino had a retail price of 8,900 lire, or approximately 7,000 Euro today. The production figures for the vehicle showed nearly 520,000 units sold. In 1955 the Fiat 600, a mid-sized rear wheel driven car, was launched by Fiat. The design of this model would serve as the inspiration for the Fiat 500 Nuova. The 500 Nuova is often mistaken for the only Fiat 500 model available.
