Ford C-MAX
Ford is showcasing a redesigned look for the Ford C-MAX at the Bologna Motor Show this year. Featuring Ford's signature "kinetic design" and many updated components, the new Ford C-MAX promises a significantly improved interior and a wealth of new features. With the impeccably-styled Ford S-MAX, which has been voted as Car of the Year 2007, the C-MAX provides customers with two stylish and dynamic multi-activity vehicles.
"By renaming this model from Ford Focus C-MAX to Ford C-MAX, we hope customers will recognize the distinct style it has, similar to the S-MAX," explains Stephen Odell, Vice President of Marketing, Sales and Service for Ford of Europe. "At the heart of our 'MAX' strategy is to deliver the features, space and flexibility of a family vehicle, but with a design that champions individuality and prioritizes driving enjoyment. The C-MAX and the larger S-MAX are sure to live up to this ambition," added Odell.
Fresh and Contemporary
The front of the vehicle introduces unique air intakes and a trapezoid grille - Ford's own symbol of the kinetic design. The revamped one-piece bumper integrates fog lights, and these pair with newly-designed headlamps for a sporty overall appearance. The three-plane bonnet adds to the C-MAX's energetic and dynamic character. Additionally, the car now utilizes high intensity discharge lamps, making the ethnicity of the car more prominent. The rear of the C-MAX indulges in a newly-designed bumper and LED rear lamps for a bold and agile profile. The 'blue glass' gives the car a stylish and elegant look.
New interior design
The interior of the Ford C-MAX has been given a complete makeover, featuring high quality materials throughout the instrument panel, centre console and door trims. The gauges have new visible graphics and a warm red illumination. The console has plenty of storage space and an auxiliary input socket, as well as a Z-shaped handbrake lever to save room and look stylish. The colour scheme, graphics, storage space and seats have all been modified to add comfort, style and practicality to the passenger cabin. Furthermore, a panorama glass roof provides the area with light and air whilst blocking out the heat of the sun with its “Solar Reflect” coating.
