Ford Grand C-MAX
Ford Motor Company has announced the launch of the all-new Ford C-MAX and Grand C-MAX, with a striking exterior design, a contemporary interior featuring enhanced stowage solutions, and improved fuel efficiency and CO2 emissions reductions. The five-seat C-MAX and seven-seat Grand C-MAX will be out on the market in Europe from early 2015 and will include the latest advances in technology, such as Ford's SYNC 2 voice-activated connectivity system. Moreover, the C-MAX and Grand C-MAX models will be fitted with Ford's new 1.5-litre EcoBoost petrol engine and a 105 PS 1.5-litre TDCi ECOnetic diesel engine, expected to deliver 99 g/km CO2 in the five-seat C-MAX.
"C-MAX has obtained a great reputation due to its outstanding fuel economy, excellent driving dynamics and extensive interior design," commented Stephen Odell, Ford executive vice president for Europe, Middle East and Africa. "All engines have benefitted from significantly reduced CO2 emissions, without any compromise on the driving experience".
The Grand C-MAX family moreover provides a luxurious level of refinement compared to its competitors - offering even a segment-first Hands-Free Liftgate system, allowing an effortless access to the boot space by simply a gentle kick.
The first C-MAX was introduced by Ford in 2003, and since then more than 1.2 million have been sold in Europe. Already in its third generation, the C-MAX holds a 12 per cent share of all Multi-Activity Vehicles (MAVs) sold in Europe in the first half of 2014.
