The 2011 Ford Edge Sport offers powerful performance with its 3.7-liter Ti-VCT V-6 engine putting out 305 horsepower - the same engine as the 2011 Ford Mustang. Along with the features from the SEL trim, the Edge Sport has an especially tuned suspension, paddle shift transmission, and exclusive style. Its 22-inch polished aluminum wheels boast Tuxedo Black spoke accents and the Tuxedo Black grille, smoked headlamp and taillamp treatment, body-color rocker moldings, oval chrome exhaust tips, body-color door cladding and revised body-color lower front and rear fascias, all add to the look. Inside, the Edge Sport has liquid silver smoke appliqués along with smoked metallic leather seat inserts, aluminum pedals and class-exclusive paddle shifters. The paddle shifters activate the six-speed SelectShift Automatic transmission, giving the driver total control over gear selection and performance feel. Upshifts and downshifts are available within the engine's rev limiter and engine speed matching allows for faster and smoother transitions when in manual mode.
