The 2007 Ford Explorer Sport Trac is an all-new version of its iconic sport-utility truck. Combining attributes from its best-selling Ford Explorer and Ford F-150, the Sport Trac provides car-like comfort and refinement with the capacity for hauling any cargo requirements. Its new rugged design is inspired by the legendary Explorer SUV and F-150 pickup, while its composite cargo box with tiered storage, a hard tonneau cover and integrated tool and gear bins with drain plugs provide maximum practicality for its users. Inside, a comfortable interior is fitted with rubber floor covering and other available amenities such as leather seats, SIRIUS radio and a class-exclusive heated windshield.
Ready for the off-road, the Sport Trac is powered by a 3-valve V-8 engine option delivering 292 hp plus an upgraded V-6 engine that produces less smog-forming emissions than a Honda Accord Hybrid. Further, its refurbished frame is 444 percent stiffer than the previous model and a new independent rear suspension offers a refined ride and handling. With standard AdvanceTrac® with Roll Stability Control and adaptive safety features, the Sport Trac has been designed to meet all known safety requirements through 2010.
