Ford F150 Harley Davidson

The eleventh generation Ford F-150 was first revealed at the North American International Auto Show in January 2003, featuring a new P2 platform with a revolutionary and angular update of the PN-96 design. Tyler Blake and Patrick Schiavone had developed the design between 1999 and January 2000, and the final production design was frozen on August 29, 2000. In December 2005, the flex-fuel version of the 3-valve 5.4 L Triton V8 engine became available and in 2006, a SuperCrew 6.5' box model was offered with the option of a navigation system on the Lariat and King Ranch trims. Ford made the 4.2 L Essex V6 available for the first time as well as adding a new Harley Davidson trim and the FX4 Luxury Package which served as an alternative to the Lariat. Chrome packages were also made available on the XLT and for the Harley Davidson trim, a SuperCrew was introduced. In 2007, Ford introduced the FX2 Sport package and Ford states that a properly equipped 2007 F-150 saw an 11,000 lb (5,000 kg) maximum towing capacity with a 1800-3050 lb maximum payload rating. Offering improved front seats with more side bolstering and 20" wheels on the FX4, Lariat and King Ranch trims, this generation F-150 also earned top safety ratings from the NHTSA in frontal collisions as well as the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's frontal offset test. The Saleen S331 and Roush aftermarket models were also offered beginning with the 2007 model year. Lastly, the Ford F-150 Foose Edition made its debut in fall 2007 as a 2008 model, powered by a Roush-developed supercharged 5.4 L V8.
