Ford F-150 Harley-Davidson
The 1997 Ford F-150 featured an aerodynamic design with a round nose, and was available in a variety of body styles. It came in regular cab and Super Cab, standard and flareside boxes, and short and long beds. A new redesigned Lightning was introduced in 1999, as well as the Ford F-150 Harley-Davidson and King Ranch versions. In 2001, the SuperCrew cab was unveiled. Although the F-250 and F-350 were kept on the old chassis until 1999, the F-150 had an impressive start with sales of 750,000-plus in one year. Motor Trend magazine also awarded the 1997 Ford F-150 as its Truck of the Year. With the 1997 model, Ford also introduced the modular Single Overhead Cam (SOHC) engines into the F-150 lineup.
