America's top-selling, most capable full-size pickup now boasts 450 horsepower, making it one of the strongest half-ton pickups on the market. The Ford F-150 Harley-Davidson™ Super Crew 4x2 has been released this summer.
Prompted by enthusiastic customer reaction to the performance truck concept demonstrated at the 2006 SEMA show, the Ford F-150 Harley-Davidson™ sports an extra powerful punch that Ford truck fans were eager for.
"Ford stands out as the truck leader because we listen closely to our customers and take action quickly," said Ford Truck group marketing manager Ben Poore. "They demanded a performance-equipped truck, so, in collaboration with Saleen, we got the supercharged F-150 Harley-Davidson™ to the market fast."
The supercharged F-150 Harley Davidson™ is obtainable in either ebony black or dark amethyst color. Notable features are an abundance of chrome, 22-inch oversized wheels and tires, and a custom stripe along the beltline, in addition to the "Harley-Davidson" script along the bedside that appears in three-dimensional chrome letters. This look is completed with blacked-out headlamps and a unique chrome billet grille.
The SALEEN supercharger can be bought at Ford dealers for the MSRP of $6500, with base F-150 Harley-Davidson™ pricing beginning at $37,210 with $925 destination Charge and delivery. It is equipped with the same twin-screw supercharger as the Shelby GT-500, plus a dual-stage water-to-air intercooler to raise efficiency and increase performance by cooling the intake air. The exhaust sound is a loud and consistent growl and there is a gauge pod also accessible with boost (PSI) and air-charge temperature (ACT) gauges for monitoring system performance.
This is the ninth product of the Ford/Harley-Davidson™ partnership initiated in 1999, of which Ford F-Series Harley-Davidsons™ sales have now surpassed 60000 units.
