Ford F-150 SFE

America's best-selling pickup, the Ford F-Series, is once again raising the bar with its unsurpassed fuel efficiency on the new 2009 Ford F-150, due to improved miles per gallon across the entire F-150 line. Available in October 2008, the model has been modified to yield an 8 percent improvement over the previous one, and the 5.4-liter V-8 engine offers up to 12 percent more efficiency. The F-150 is also leading the segment given its 11,300-pound towing capacity and 3,030-pound hauling capacity. The new Ford F-150 SFE – superior fuel economy – edition delivers an even more impressive 21 miles per gallon on the highway, while still providing a 7,500-pound towing capability. As Ford's chief engineer Matt O'Leary stated: “fuel economy has moved from 10th to third place among pickup buyers' top purchase considerations — right behind durability and value. The new F-150 delivers on all three as the industry leader.” The Ford F-150 SFE package is available with the 4.6-liter, 3-valve V-8 engine and 5.5-foot beds on select SuperCrew XL and XLT 4X2 vehicles. It achieves 15 mpg in the city and 21 mpg on the highway.
