The 'FG' series marks the eighth generation of the Ford Falcon range, and is an homage to its rich heritage of the iconic Fairmont and Ghia nameplates. This extends to the luxury G Series sedan models, comprising the G6, G6E and G6E Turbo.
The G6 is a tribute to the "Ghia" nameplate, signifyig the presence of the advanced six-cylinder engine, while the '6' hints at the European-inspired elegant design cues. As for the G6E, it is a modest acknowledgement of its similarities to its counterpart, while the G6E Turbo puts the spotlight on the I6 Turbo engine.
Ford FG Falcon XT
The XT of the Falcon range has an emphasis on interior refinements and safety features, and breaks from the traditional Falcon design. It is available with either an I6 petrol engine, yielding 195kW of power and 391Nm of torque with a five-speed automatic SSS transmission, or an optional LPG engine with 156kW of power and a four-speed automatic SSS. Alternatively, customers can also opt for the ZF six-speed automatic transmission with the I6 petrol engine.
