Ford Falcon XR8
Ford has unveiled the updated version of its iconic Falcon XR8 performance sedan. This car combines the classic look of the Falcon with Ford's new global design DNA to make it the best Falcon ever.
The XR6 and XR8 both showcase the Australian design team's interpretation of Ford's global design DNA. They both come with a trapezoidal grille, sleek headlamps and smoother, wrap-around tail-lamps with LED technology. Additionally, the XR8 has unique exterior graphics and a bonnet power dome that has been enhanced for the 2014 model. It also has a distinctive exhaust system to match its sporty V8 engine.
Nima Nourian, the Exterior Design Manager for the new Falcon, mentioned that they used the existing XR series as the basis for the new Falcon. He remarks, "The challenge was delivering a powerful, yet premium look for the 2014 car. I'm proud of the fact that the new Falcon XR builds on an already distinctive design and yet delivers a whole new personality. Our customers will easily identify the new Falcon by its premium look."
