Ford Fiesta
The all-new Ford Fiesta brings the modern style of the European Ford family to the small car segment, while building on the exciting momentum of Ford's distinctive iosis and iosis X concept cars and the premium feel of latest-generation models like the new Mondeo and Focus. Since the iosis concept vehicle introduced kinetic design to Ford in 2005, each new model has been designed in a new interpretation of this form language, utilizing the trademark bold graphic elements and proportions to create a distinctive family of models.
Ford of Europe's Executive Director of Design, Martin Smith, describes the Ford design philosophy as a ‘precision sculpted’, ‘agile muscularity’, and ‘toned athleticism’, and with the Ford Fiesta this does not mean a 'one size fits all' approach. Smith goes on to explain that “kinetic design is not just a matter of 'cut and paste' from one vehicle to the next; each is a new interpretation of the fundamental design elements. A kinetic small car can emphasise different elements of the form language to a larger car, and to different degrees.”
