Developed by Ford Team RS, the European branch of Ford Motor Company's Global Performance Vehicle group, the new Fiesta ST includes a 1.6-liter EcoBoost petrol engine that accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 6.9 seconds and produces 182 PS and 240 Nm of torque. Maximum speed is 220 km/hr.
Ford Team RS adjusted the powertrain, suspension, steering, and brakes to optimize driving dynamics, and added features which were previously limited to larger performance cars, such as improved Torque Vectoring Control (eTVC) and 3-mode Electronic Stability Control (ESC), six-speed manual transmission, and rear disc brakes. The Ford Fiesta ST offers outstanding day-to-day practicality with great fuel efficiency (5.9 l/100 km) and 138 g/km CO2, which is a 20% reduction of emissions from the earlier generation Ford Fiesta ST yet almost 20% more power than the
first-generation model's 2.0-litre engine.
In addition, the new Fiesta ST features a large trapezoidal grille featuring a distinct honeycomb pattern, as well as a prominent rear diffuser. The interior contains a refined high-contrast design with Recaro seats and a new Sound Symposer, which directs the engine's roar into the cabin to provide a truly unparalleled driving experience. Ford has also introduced SYNC and MyKey.
