The new Ford Fiesta has arrived at 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show, and it redefines the small car segment with an impressive 40 mpg-plus fuel economy, a bold new look, and plenty of features and technologies that make it great fun to drive.
Ford's The Americas President, Mark Fields remarked: "We have designed Fiesta with customers in mind who like cars that are expressive and enjoyable, yet offer class-leading fuel economy. We believe this car will take small cars in North America to the next level".
Fuel efficiency and fun
This new, distinctive Ford Fiesta is equipped with the best-in-class 1.0-liter EcoBoost® engine. It is not only designed to save those extra bucks on fuel, but it also packs performance. This engine is so powerful that it has already won the Popular Mechanics 2012 Breakthrough Award and Engine Technology International's International Engine of the Year Award in Europe. Furthermore, having a projected fuel economy rating of more than 40 mpg, Fiesta is expected to become the most fuel-efficient non-hybrid subcompact in America.
To add on to the 1.0-liter EcoBoost performance, it packs 123 horsepower for each liter of engine displacement - higher than the ace supercar Lamborghini Aventador, whose engine delivers only 108 horsepower per liter.
