Ford Focus Sedan
The high-tech, award-winning 2015 Ford Focus Sedan is set to make its official debut at the 2014 New York International Auto Show. This follows the reveal of the hatchback and wagon model at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show in March. Ford Focus has already retained its title as the world's best-selling vehicle nameplate in 2013 according to Ford Analytics and Polk new vehicle registration data from IHS Automotive; with total sales of 1,097,618 global cars, showing a year-on-year increase of 8.1%. This impressive stat is bolstered in great part by its success in China, with sales increasing to 403,219 - 50% higher than in 2012.
The new Focus four-door will be offered with Ford's 1.0-liter EcoBoost® engine, coupled with a new six-speed manual transmission. Ultimately, this engine will no doubt fuel efficiency even further, despite official US EPA ratings being yet unavailable. Furthermore, the updated Focus boasts a bolder exterior design, a more intuitive and luxurious interior, and an array of uncommon technologies for a car of its size. A new version of the performance Focus ST is to follow later this year.
