The all-new Ford Galaxy, featured in the Geneva Motor Show of 2006, shows Ford's effort to provide a luxurious, sophisticated travel experience. It is both dynamic and refined, featuring design elements of Ford's 'kinetic design' language.
A Bigger Galaxy: The new Galaxy is slightly wider and longer than its predecessor, with a length of 4,820mm and a width of 1,854mm. The height, however, has been reduced by 14mm to 1,676mm.
The inside story: Its interior design is spacious enough to host seven adults and their luggage - making it one of the few cars to offer such spacious interior while still remaining compact. With the third and second row seats in place, the luggage space can hold up to 435 litres, which increases to an astonishing 2325 litres when fully folded.
Ford FoldFlatSystem (FFS) for modularity and flexibility: The Ford Galaxy also utilizes Ford's FoldFlatSystem (FFS) for its five individual rear seats. FFS allows the Galaxy's second and third row areas to be easily folded flat to increase the load space without having to remove the seats. Occupants also benefit from increased premium comfort in the second and third row seating areas with a 50mm adjustment for the second row and a 60mm for the third row.
