Ford Mondeo Wagon Concept
At the 2006 Paris Motor Show taking place between September 30 and October 15, the all-new Ford Mondeo made its world debut in its wagon bodystyle. Set to launch in Europe in the second quarter of 2007, the model is revealed in near production specification.
John Fleming, President and CEO of Ford of Europe said, “The new Mondeo is critical to the Ford of Europe business. With over four million owners, we have every intention of meeting their significant expectations with this all-new model.”
The 2007 Ford Mondeo follows and builds on the success of the already released Ford S-MAX and Ford Galaxy, offering more comfort, more space, and more premium features at an accessible price. Also, it shares much of its architecture and technology with its siblings due to Ford's 'Shared Technologies' initiative.
Ford has made an €715 million investment in modernizing its Genk plant in Belgium and transforming it into a world-class, flexible manufacturing facility. Beginning in early 2007, the new Mondeo bodystyles will be built alongside S-MAX and new Galaxy on the same assembly lines, using common technologies and architectures.
