Ford Mondeo Wagon
The highly anticipated all-new Ford Mondeo has arrived, with the global debut of Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection - a revolutionary technology that could potentially help reduce the severity of, or even avoid, accidents. This feature is accompanied by Ford's widest ever range of powertrains, even including a first-of-its-kind petrol-electric hybrid and a 210 PS TDCi diesel engine with twin sequential turbocharging, slated to become available early next year.
The new Ford Mondeo is offered in four-door and five-door bodytypes, and a wagon (constructed specifically for Europe) with further refinement and craftsmanship. Additionally, the driver is moreover offered a suite of adaptive technologies, including LED headlamps, Multi-Contour Seats and Inflatable Rear Seatbelts, alongside a sophisticated and stylish design.

Detecting pedestrians
Ford's Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection utilizes an impressive combination of technology with a windshield-mounted camera and forward-facing radar, located in the bumper, to scan the road ahead. The system processes available information and compares it against its "pedestrian shapes" database in order to determine potential collisions and respond quickly with warning alerts or even automatic braking.
