Ford Mondeo Wagon Concept
Ford is premiering their all-new Mondeo model around the world at the 2006 Paris Motor Show from September 30 to October 15. Displayed in a wagon bodystyle and in near production-level specification, the vehicle is set to be launched across Europe in the second quarter of 2007.
John Fleming, President and CEO of Ford of Europe, commented, "The new Mondeo is vital to the Ford of Europe business. Historically, the Mondeo has always been a strong player in the European CD market, and we aim to satisfy the high expectations of its four million owners with this next-generation model."
The 2007 Mondeo's features will include increased comfort, more spaciousness, and a higher-grade of quality, all while maintaining affordability. In completing this car, Ford has invested € 715 million in the modernisation of their Genk plant in Belgium, transforming it into a state-of-the-art, flexible manufacturing facility. Starting in early 2007, the Mondeo will share the assembly lines with S-MAX and the new Galaxy models, making use of common architectures and technologies.
