Ford Mustang AV-X10

Ford Motor Company has created something truly special, the Ford Mustang AV-X10 "Dearborn Doll," which will be auctioned off during the 2009 Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) AirVenture Oshkosh - the world's greatest aviation event. All proceeds from the sale will go to EAA's Young Eagles organization. Ford Motor Company is the exclusive automotive partner of the EAA AirVenture Oshkosh taking place from July 27 to August 2, 2009, at the Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The AV-X10 name is trademarked by Ford Motor Company, and is based on a 2010 Ford Mustang. The "10" symbolizes the model year of the Ford Mustang, plus the 10-millionth engine from Ford's Romeo Engine Plant. This unique, fully-customized vehicle was created by a dedicated team at Ford, composed of Chief Designer Darrell Behmer, Design Manager George Saridakis, Chief Nameplate Engineer Dave Pericak, Senior Designers Robert Gelardi and Garen Nicoghosian. The auction of the AV-X10 will be part of an evening celebration at EAA's Gathering of Eagles at AirVenture on July 30. Benefiting from the auction proceeds is EAA's Young Eagles, which has offered free introductory flights to over 1.3 million youngsters since 1992, whilst also providing an education on personal responsibility and developing math and science skills.
