Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Convertible
The Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Convertible is the fastest open-air Mustang of all time! To celebrate the SVT (Special Vehicle Team) group's 20th anniversary, this convertible comes with a commemorative lighted sill plate, as well as the most powerful V8 engine ever offered in a Mustang.
In comparison to the 1993 SVT Mustang Cobra's 235-horsepower 5.0-liter V8 engine, the 2013 model boasts 662-horsepower. With this powerful motor, the car comes with an optional Performance Package that shaves 3.5 seconds off its lap time around Sebring International Raceway.
According to SVT Global Performance Vehicles Chief Engineer Kerry Baldori, "The Shelby GT500 Convertible is every bit the performer that the coupe is. All of the significant changes we made in the program were instrumental in delivering a convertible that could really shine on the track but can still be driven on a daily basis."
