GMC has introduced the all-new 2007 Acadia, marking the first crossover from GMC and delivering a comfortable and responsive ride, an attractive design, a roomy interior, and a suite of advanced safety features. Built on a body-frame integral (BFI) frame reinforced with high-strength steel, the Acadia offers a unique balance of a long wheelbase and wide tracks, giving drivers nimble, yet stable, ride and handling. To complement its framework, the Acadia features an independent front suspension combining MacPherson struts and a stabilizer bar, and an innovative rear suspension setup utilizing an advanced “H” link design with isolated mounting points for enhanced noise and vibration reduction.
In addition, the Acadia comes standard with efficient rack-and-pinion steering, StabiliTrak electronic stability control system and rollover mitigation technology, and features variable-effort steering as an option.
