XL
One unique element of the Envoy is the availability of a 3-row 7-passenger Envoy XL version. This vehicle has a 16 in (406 mm) longer wheelbase and a higher roofline allowing easier access to the third row of seats. The roof is disguised by standard roof racks. The XL model was produced at the Oklahoma City Assembly plant, but production ended in 2006 and was replaced by the GMC Acadia.XUV
A 5-passenger Envoy XUV was introduced in 2003. It had a retractable rear roof, a two-way tailgate and a "MidGate" between the passenger compartment and loaded area. The main advantage was a waterproof, lockable cargo area as opposed to the pickup truck crossbreed, the Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it had a much smaller cargo area and breakable side glass. Sales of the XUV sold did not meet expectations and ended in 2005.Denali
In 2005, a Denali luxury version of the Envoy became available. Envoy and Envoy XL are both offered in the Denali trim, which have an upgraded interior with luxury car-like features such as heated power seats, extensive woodgrain trim, and rain-sensing windshield wipers. Prices for the Envoy Denalis range from US$37,145 to $43,895.Get ready to show your style with GMC Envoy XL Denali 2005 posters, mouse pads, t-shirts, and calendars!
